Who We are

It is our very special pleasure to introduce Seva Yoga Home as one of the outstanding institutions for the welfare of the most vulnerable Orphans & Aged with special needs and mental/physical challenges as well as destitute children in Tamilnadu State, India.

Our Founder, Dr J Gopalakrishnan, who hailed from a reputed family, had the vision of a just society ever since and felt the need for the rehabilitation through integration for disabled, orphaned and destitute children under one roof. Since having started in 2009 with 10 children, support and shelter. At present we house 110 children and elders in total.

What We Do

Our Home provides a home away from home for about 50 boys and 60 elders. Many of the children come from single parent families who are unable to financially support their children. They reside at the Home during the term time and are fully supported with their schooling, residential and extra curricular activity costs met by the Seva Yoga Home.

Living at the home and attending the local high school provides these children an opportunity to escape a life of desperate poverty. Many of our children are further supported upon their departure from the home to seek higher education at local technical colleges and universities.
